Lipodissolve Non Surgical Liposuction Risks

Lipodissolve is a proven non surgical liposuction procedure although it is not without its risks. Some of the complications include cysts, bruising, and general discomfort. Although lipodissolve injections have been proven to melt away fat, the chemical compounds used in the injections have not been thoroughly tested by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for fat reduction.

The chemical compounds used in the injections are noted as being off-label, which means they are approved for one purpose, but are being used for reducing fat. However, this is often the case for many drugs, including botox injections and some antibiotics.

How Does Non Surgical Liposuction Work

Common medical practices have proven the ability of lipodissolve to reduce the appearance of fatty tissue, although it may not work for everybody. Therefore, some patients may see little or no difference after having lipo injections.

In the first few days following the lipodissolve non surgical liposuction procedure, patients may experience a localized discomfort and a heat sensation in the treated area, which may redden and bruise. The tissue under the skin might also harden, and it may feel as if there are small cysts the sizes of marbles underneath the skin. The small cysts are temporary and should eventually fade within a few weeks. Fat cells may also seem to enlarge for a week or so after the lipo injections, which is caused by inflammation and edema. However, these bump formations are often the death throes of the fat cells before they disappear completely.

Eventually, the fat cells will dissolve and will be flushed away through normal bodily processes. The bruises left behind can cause pain for many patients. However, the use of painkillers for treatment of the pain and burning sensation is discouraged. Wearing a compression garment usually treats the burning sensation associated with the swelling. Patients are not allowed to use ice packs or anti-inflammatory medications to treat the pain, since the inflammation is said to maximize the results of the procedure.

Lipodissolve Non Surgical Liposuction Side Effects

Some other minimal complications of having lipodissolve non surgical liposuction include nausea and diarrhea, which may occur within twenty four hours of having the procedure. There is also the possibility of infection and an allergic reaction. lipo-dissolve injections may also cause contour irregularities and poor cosmetic results.

Lipodissolve is not recommended for patients with a high body mass index or insulin-dependent diabetes. The same applies to patients taking blood thinners, anticoagulants or those with active skin infections.

The procedure can cause severe complications if performed on patients that have liver or kidney problems, and patients with diseases such as Lupus or any immunodeficiency diseases. Female patients are forbidden from breast-feeding or becoming pregnant within six months of having the lipodissolve technique performed. The chemical compounds in the injections may cause birth defects or brain damage to the unborn child.

All of the lipodissolve non surgical liposuction complications are possible, and patients should weigh up the risks before having the procedure.
